This system includes: 

• UV lamp sterilizer: this provides a highly-effective defense against bacteria and viruses, including E. coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia.

• Filters:

  • Sediment (2): removes sediment. This is required for the effective functioning of the UV sterilizer as bacteria can hide behind particulate larger than 10 microns.​

  • Carbon: Improves the smell and taste of water. Absorbs some dissolved organics (i.e. tannins) and chemicals (i.e. gasoline and oil from boats) which could be present in the water.

Designed for easy winterization with specially-added drain valves, this system has built-in pressure gauges that indicate flow reduction and when the filter cartridges need to be replaced. The UV unit also has an alarm that provides a 30-day warning before the lamp needs to be replaced.
